UK pressing I believe from the early 70s judging by the adverts on the sleeve. A hand-me-down to me from my stepfather’s collection.

Doesn’t sound too bad actually. A few pops and crackles. Probably helps I have this a good clean beforehand.

Some classics here you are guaranteed to know, such as ‘The Sounds of Silence’, ‘Kathy’s Song’, and ‘Homeward Bound’. Closes out with the wonderful ‘I am a Rock’.

Some of the songs sound really great on here, such as ‘Richard Corey’.

Realised you really need to listen to this album sat still, in the middle of the sound stage. ‘I am a Rock’ for instance sounds pretty bad unless you get the stereo balance right.

There’s also quite the gouge across the last two tracks of side A, but strangely this isn’t that noticeable.

Overall a lovely album, bit I might dig around and see if there is a better sounding pressing out there – I feel this deserves it.
